On behalf of their need for expanding the team of mobile app developers, DEKRA is looking for:

1. INTERMEDIATE ANDROID DEVELOPER
2. SENIOR ANDROID DEVELOPER

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and API’s
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• A degree in a computer related subject or equivalent industry experience
• 5 + years of experience for the senior position or 3+ years of experience for the intermediate position in developing native Android applications
• Excellent knowledge in Java and Kotlin
• Excellent understanding of Android SDK, Android application lifecycle and interface guidelines
• Support different screen sizes and densities
• Excellent understanding of web services, HTTP protocol, and service-oriented architecture
• Experience with SQL, JSON and REST services
• Experience with 3rd party APIs such as Facebook, Google Analytics, Instagram etc.
• Knowledge-sharing approach toward Junior developers
• Ability to create and drive technical innovations and improvements of the development process
• A problem-solver who is able to work both independently and as part of a team
