Financial accountant

NOVA International School is the leading co-educational, English medium day school with educational programs ranging from PK to Grade 12. The school was established in 1997 to offer exceptional opportunities for growth and development to children of expatriates and local families residing in Skopje. On behalf of our client, DEKRA is looking for:

• Financial accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Calculation and payment of salaries for all employees and hired persons on a different basis;
• Preparing of invoices for school fees (payments and advance invoices);
• Payment of invoices from domestic and foreign suppliers and allocating them to appropriate budgets;
• Bookkeeping of invoices and control of the entire accounting documentation;
• Coordinating reviews of the general ledger, debtors’ ledger, creditors’ ledger, fixed assets to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures;
• Preparing and submitting of VAT returns;
• Calculation of advance payments for profit tax;
• Evidence for school fees and other income;
• Preparing and submission of final accounts and financial statements;
• Verifying fixed asset records and prepares accounting reports describing depreciation schedules;
• Responsible for the end of year audit as required by school policy and government regulations;
• Reviewing the analysis and making recommendations for changes in accounting systems and procedures for continuous improvement of efficiency and productivity;
• Reviewing reports on debtors, creditors and general ledger files;
• Reviewing bank reconciliation for all bank accounts and ensures proper spending and balance accuracy;
• Electronic payment (domestic and foreign invoices);
• Additional financial analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years minimum experience in accounting and finance;
• Faculty of Economy;
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills;
• Knowledge of MS office and working in Excel;
• Ability to use school software and platforms.
